A BUA EXCLUSIVE!!!
BUA is pleased to announce that umpire rating forms are now available online. If you need to complete a rating, all you need to do is Click here to access BUA's new online rating form.

Congratulations to the following umpires who were made active at the September Annual Meeting: John Leadbeater, Ed Abdallah, Dave Camadine, Terry Raymond, Dave Fehrman, and Mike Huston.  Also at the Annual Meeting, Wayne Scot was given the Rookie of the Year award.

If you are umpiring any ASA tournaments you should periodically check for rules clarifications.  They post these about every other month.  Go to www.softball.org and click on the “Umpires” tab and scroll down to “Rule Clarifications and Plays”.  There is a lot of good stuff there.

American Legion umpires: The only composite bats that are allowed are those with BBCOR certification.  Also, make sure all base coaches (including adults) are wearing a helmet.  For a copy of the American Legion rules go to http://www.legion.org/documents/baseball/baseball_rules.pdf
